 Over Antarctica, S.H.O.C.s drag Ripclaw to the Genesis Wheel, and Kimata uses it to try and transform him into the new S.H.O.C. leader.  At the Subplex, Kraken wakes up in a regeneration cocoon.  Killjoy has sensed this, escaped from her stasis tube, and crawls to the armory.  Ballistic arrives, finds Cyberforce absent, and leaves an affectionate note for Velocity. Meanwhile, Killjoy sets explosive charges throughout the Subplex.  Zadrok and Cyberforce materialize in Antarctica below Cyberdata’s floating base.  Impact and Stryker sneak aboard to rescue Ripclaw. Back at the Subplex, Kraken interfaces with the facility’s computers, restoring her memory.  She realizes she is Zadrok’s wife Victoria, transformed by him into a cyborg to save her life decades ago.  Killjoy starts a fire to set off the explosives, destroy the base, and kill Kraken in the process.  In Antarctica, Impact and Stryker fight their way through S.H.O.C.s while Zadrok leads the rest of Cyberforce to the spot where he first encountered the alien technology decades earlier.  A squad of S.H.O.C.s including transformed versions of Buzzcut, Megawatt, and Psychotron find the team and attack.  Ripclaw is able to fend off Kimata’s conditioning long enough for Impact and Stryker to reach him and remove him from the Genesis Wheel.  The three then jump out of the floating base as it starts to fall due to battle damage.  Kraken teleports to the scene just before Zadrok once again links with the alien technology, restoring his power.  He invites Kraken to join him, but she refuses, seeing what they have become, and destroys them both.  Cyberdata’s floating base crashes into the ice, and all the S.H.O.C.s shut down. Cyberforce finds a functioning aircraft and flies away, unaware the Subplex has been destroyed.  In Manhattan, James Layter and Misery toast Kimata’s defeat, the Zadroks’ demise, and the destruction of the Subplex.
